After a career in fashion and television — and the intensity of public life — I experienced burnout.

I moved to Los Angeles to rebuild.

What followed wasn’t one single change, but a gradual shift into a different way of living.

I stepped away from that world and moved into art — taking on the responsibility of my father’s estate after his death, while also developing my own creative work and working in design.

At the same time, I began creating a slower, more intentional life.

One rooted in everything I’ve always loved — nature, animals, and particularly horses, which have always been a deeply personal form of therapy for me.

Drawing from my Mediterranean upbringing — Spanish and Italian — I began blending those natural rhythms with the mindfulness and wellness practices I discovered in California.

Movement.
Diet.
Nervous system work.
Creative practice.

Not as separate things — but as a way of living.

That period of my life was also shaped by loss and emotional stress — caring for people I loved, and navigating grief.

And it was through that that I understood something clearly:

You cannot separate how you live from how your body responds.

Over time, this became a lifestyle that supported me — physically, emotionally, and mentally.

I later formalised that work through training in Pilates, art therapy, and integrative health — deepening what had already become lived experience.

Karma Besos (Besos is Spanish for kiss) is the name I have given this lifestyle - Karma Besos — a life lived in alignment, where good karma meets you in return.

Karma Besos is the expression of that philosophy — a refined fusion of art, beauty, movement, equine grounding, and nervous system regulation.

It is informed not only by lived experience, but by formal training across body, mind, and creative therapeutic disciplines.

It is not wellness as trend.
It is wellness as discipline.
As art.
As lifestyle.

Grounded in both lived experience and professional training, this work bridges art, movement, nutrition, and nervous system science.

KARMA BESOS LIFESTYLE -

The Karma Besos Lifestyle

Imagine bringing the feeling of a Mediterranean holiday into your everyday life —
the way you feel in Mallorca, in Sicily… slower, lighter, more present.

Long lunches.
Time to breathe.
Moments that are yours.

This isn’t about escaping your life.

It’s about creating a different way of living — one that protects your body from the effects of chronic stress before it turns into something more.

The Karma Besos lifestyle is built around simple, daily practices that help you slow down, regulate your system, and feel like yourself again — even in the middle of real life.

TOTALLY AGELESS -

A nervous system and lifestyle reset designed to prevent burnout, imbalance, and long-term stress — inspired by the Karma Besos lifestyle taught 1:1 by Catalina Guirado.

THE ART OF ZEN

A Creative Healing Experience.

Inspired by the paintings of J.A. Guirado — art for meditation, Third Eye connection, and creative elevation.

The Guirado Legacy

As President of the Guirado Estate, I oversee the cultural stewardship and international positioning of Juan Antonio Guirado’s work — a post-war European painter known for his philosophical and consciousness-based visual language.

Through exhibitions, institutional partnerships, and strategic cultural initiatives, the legacy continues to evolve globally.
